Vivekanand General Hospital earlier known as “Women’s Hospital” was incepted in the year 1929 by Indian Women Aids Society Hubli dedicated for maternity Services only. The hospital was then managed by late Dr. Mahajan & Dr. N S Hardikar.
In the year 1995 “Vivekanand General Hospital trust,” a charitable organization assumed the responsibility for operating the hospital under the Presidentship of Late Shri Natwarlal Shanghviji initiating a significant transformation in its management and overall governance.
Shri Natwarlal Sanghviji dedicated leadership and commitment have been instrumental in strengthening the hospital reputation and driving it’s continual progress with his active involvement until his passing on 7th December 2013.
