Board of Management
Late. Shri Natwarlal Shanghviji
Vivekanand General Hospital was originally established in the year 1929 under the name “Women’s Hospital” by the Indian Women Aids Society, Hubli. During its early years, the hospital was dedicated exclusively to the treatment and care of women patients.
The hospital was efficiently managed under the leadership of the late Dr. Mahajan, whose commitment laid a strong foundation for compassionate healthcare services.
In the year 1995, the responsibility of managing the hospital was taken over by the Vivekanand General Hospital Trust, a registered charitable trust. This transition took place under the able presidency of Late Shri Natwarlal Shanghviji.
The remarkable growth and reputation of the hospital are largely credited to the devotion, vision, and selfless service of Late Shri Natwarlal Shanghviji. His active involvement and leadership continued until his demise on 7th December 2013.
Today, Vivekanand General Hospital is managed by a team of dedicated Managing Trustees, who are well-known and respected personalities of Hubli city. Their commitment to social service is reflected in the fact that they serve the hospital voluntarily, without accepting any honorarium, purely driven by a desire to serve the community.
